Arranage roses with willows amd greens for Ikebana lesson in May

20140527_164555 Roses are beautiful. All roses have their own beauty and character. When I go get flowers for Ikebana lesson, I spend a lot of time thinking of combination of flowers and branches and visit at least two or three places to find flowers for Ikebana lesson. Sometimes I go to nursery shop and craft shops too.

I hadn’t have Ikebana lesson in April. I do Ikebana once a week for my own learning and make for my friends. It’s fun but doing Ikebana with friends (students) is a lot of fun because everybody arranges same materials in so diffrent way wiith different impression. That’s learning and joy!20140528_16182520140528_16183420140528_172911

This time all colors looked beautiful and I gave more freedom for them to choose colors and greens.Everybody enjoyed choosing. At that moment they had already started doing Ikebana.

I explained basics of Ikebana about three elements; height. width, depth and Shin, Soe Tai. Also the most important thing is to see flowers well,  their faces and backs to seek out their unique characters and beauty. Have you ever think that flowers have faces and backs?

Please give a careful look and you will find their faces ,looking up to the sun.Usually flowers face up  to the sun and the color of the face side stem is darker.

The first step for beautiful Ikebana is to look at flowers very very carefully. When you keep learning Ikebana, you will notice even small changes of season through changes of leaves, grasses and flowers. You will be amazed with beauty and energy of nature.
