I happened to know that September 21st was World Peace Day when I check Facebook.
I saw a white dove and it became into white heart. When I press heart, more hearts came out. Heart shape makes us happy.

This bell was given from Japan called the Peace Bell.
When I knew it’s World Peace Day, I remembered a woman I met in England while I was studying there as a student. She was one year older from Bosnia. I was also a teacher.
She said ,”The Students couldn’t come to school and her acquaintances were killed in the Civil War in Bosnia.” We were almost of an age and had same job. I was from Japan where no civil war, even no war against other countries after 1945 .I was sponsored by Ministry of education to learn effective way of teaching English as second language.
She was from Bosnia where she couldn’t teach any more and came to England to live.
What big differences we had, though we were born and lived in same time!
UNFAIR. WRONG. Just places we were born was different. It’s my first time to realize that there did be wars in the world. I just met a woman refugee of my age. However I was as sad as to see photos of a war . More than 20 years have passed since I met her.I cannot forget her and on World Peace Day I remember her and pray for people like her.
I hope she has lived a happier life in England.I pray for world peace. Also both in the States where I live now and in Japan where I was born, we need peace too.
