Hear of Ikebana is to appreciate life of the flower

Ikebana is translated the Japanese art of flower arranging. It is art in the sense of we can express our message, impression, feeling.
If you don;t appreciate the life of the flowers and respect its own character and beauty in front of you, you can’t create a beautiful Ikebana.

My teacher always said to me,  “Watch, observe flowers very carefully and they will talk to you. This looks happy. That one looks very shy.” First it was funny to hear that my teacher said like flowers having a personality but gradually I could sense and see differences among same kind of flowers.
