Ikebana: the Japanese art of flower arranging reflects one’s inner beauty

Ikebana Samurai in DallasIkebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging and it is art and reflect not only the beauty of plants but also inner beauty of the arrangers. Before I taught Ikebana in Dallas, I had not understand why Ikebana was translated into the art. Ikebana is expressions of the arrangers.

I have been teaching Ikebana these weeks actively. I like teaching and I love to see the art created by my students/participants which have all different characters and impressions.

Some people likes to colorful and they used different kinds of flowers.Others pick carefully their favorite flowers and greenery ,usually those spend time to think. Less flowers are paid more attention and we can see their distinctive beauty more clearly.

Both are beautiful!  I prefer less flowers sometime and I like to use a bunch of colorful flowers. We don’t have to chose one to appreciate beauty! I love both Western style flower design and Ikebana. If we know different kinds of ideas and view, they will makes our life more beautiful and peaceful!

Try Ikebana! Feed your mind!
