In Japan we don’t see any Blue Jay, The Blue Bird of Happiness

In Japan I had never seen a blue jay so I imagined “The Blue Bird of Happiness” must look like a blue jay.  The Blue bird happiness is well known from  a story by Maeterlinck.

When I found a blue jay and took a picture. I was so excited to post the picture on my facebook, just feeling as if I founds a blue bird of happiness. I didn’t know much about  blue jay.  Some of my friends told me their behaviors they actually saw here in the States.

They took eggs and kill chicks of other kinds of birds. That’s cruel. Mean! I was so disappointed their characteristics. We discuss their mean characteristics and blue and beautiful appearance for a while. It’s interesting but after a while I realized that they have to behave in order to survive.

From human’s point of view, it seems to be cruel and mean but it’s necessary to a blue jay. If I change a viewpoint, things look differently. Leaning!  It’s true of cultures. If we remember this, we can make our life happier.Blue Bird of Happiness
