Origami memories of May; making a samurai helmet and sword with newspaper and fought with my sister

P15I have one big sister. She is always big for me, smart, much more talented in music and  pretty and popular in our childhood. I have wanted to compete her in many aspects.  Now I am taller and I am traveled more know more English! A memory with my sister.

On children’s day, Boy’s festival we used to make origami samurai helmet with news paper and wore. Samurai has a sword. Samurai with a sward must fight each other. So my  sister and I made a samurai helmet and  newspaper swards. Just rolling newspaper up tight makes a sward. If you roll it very tight, your sward becomes skinnier and harder like a stick!

The battle of newspaper swards never make you bloody. It’s safe but still hurt when you get hit shin. We knew the places to hit. It’s fun to fight for a while. Try to hit and defend. We must be quick and use trick. sometimes use two swards in both hands. It was a lot of fun. I loved playing kitchen and dolls but I also enjoyed playing like a boy.

When one hit the other or cheated really hard real fight started. Why don’t you make one? You tube video
