Reverse Culture Shock 1

I don’t know I can call it a reverse-culture shock but I experienced strange feeling in Japan.

When I came to the States 8 years ago, I experienced culture shocks in almost everything. Everything looked different.

However, I experienced reverse culture shocks in Japan when I visited my family in May.

The biggest and the funniest was a toilet with an automatic lid!!! In Japan, more than 80%households have Washlet which is electronic toilet which can wash your bottom. In every hotel, you will see one. I was used to Washlet but I was not familiar with an automatic lid!

If you don’t mind watching. before watching, please promise me not to get offended or blame me and click https://youtu.be/82k9jKzhYes

I was almost burst into laughter when I stepped into the restroom and I saw the lid open automatically. I took a video. So funny.

You can see a sticker, which made me laugh harder. This is my cousin’s daughter’s house. They have a little girl so this sticker helps her.

Please watch this video.
