Thank you fro sharing Japanese culture, Campers, seniors and Staffs in Sandy Hook and Newtown.

We care and we are with you, Sandy Hook, Newtown. Our origami crane, our prayer was shared  in June .

Thank you! We had a wonderful time.
Thank you! We had a wonderful time.

There were smiles and laughter and prayer for us in Newtown and Sandy Hook. No words cold explain how impressed I was to see how they are going forward and how they are helping each other. I am very glad that I could have opportunities to meet children and seniors and share in joy of tea ceremony and origami; making Tanabata decoration and  a Samurai helmet and a sward.

Nice meeting you all.
Nice meeting you all.

Two of my friend Chiyoko and Shoko joined me. Shiko has been with me in this project since I asked her in January 2013. For her this is second visit. Chiyoko asked me to join in. They flew from Japan. Three of us were helped  and we could have a wonderful time.

Beautiful smile on children’s faces  I saw hopes and future. Words and laughter from senior citizens and church showed their pride of  their town.

I would like to share their words too.

“We are okay because this is OUR town.”

” Thank you for your prayer. Your country has problem too (Tusnami and radiation) . We pray for you.”

We would like to change our cultures to allow people who have a problem to get a gun too easily.”

“There are bad people too who tried to use their names and make money. That have hurt the feeling of the families. Neighbors are helping each other. Everybody is doing what she/he can do.”

We are going forward in different way in different pace.”

I felt that in peaceful and beautiful town in summer. I will have another 8,000 cranes and Visit the town again. I pray and they pray for me.

Origami For Sandy Hook Elementary School was stated to make 1,000 origami cranes for 26 families each and then another goal to share in joy of Japanese culture. Experience something new and different is just Fun and Joy. Sometimes we can have a new perspective. My personal one is to pray together in the town.
