Happy New Year! How did you feel on new year’s day?

May this be full of joy and happiness!

When a new year start, I always feel so fresh and energized with hope and expectation that something nice happens. However, 2021 was a little different from the usual. I quietly welcome a new year wishing peace.

I guess many people had feelings of discomfort because we have had so many lives lost due to COVID_19. I said to myself to encourage myself, ” I am living the most challenging era in human history. We are soon overcome this,”

How did you feel about the new year’s day?

I made ikebana to represent my wishes for this year. Please enjoy it

The pine tree is the most celebratory and formal plant in Japan, especially it is evergreen represents life and a place for a spirit of the god of a year in the new year.

Forsythia is a blossom for spring, however, I used its tiny buds as a symbol of hope
