A Japanese annual event held on April 1 called Nyushashiki

April 1st is a very important day in Japan, not because it’s April fool but it’s the beginning of the fiscal year of companies and the start of a new school year.
Meeting new people, making new friends, learning new things at a new place, and making new resolutions, too!
It’s a beautiful time of the year with cherry blossoms blooming in Japan.

Many companies held a welcoming ceremony for their new employees. Even in this gloomy mood, they tried to celebrate the new employees’ first day of work in different styles of the ceremonies. I would like to introduce my favorite one.

入 にゅう nyu ; to enter
会社 かいしゃ kaisha ; a company
入社;にゅうしゃ to enter a company. become an employee of a company
式 しき shiki; a ceremony
おめでとう congratulations
