An article about our online competition was published. We organized Minna no Global Classroom for students and young language learners in the U.S. and Japan to meet online, express themselves in the language they are learning, and make friends. Motoko is one of the organized talked;
Becoming friends is the first step to creating peace. My experience of meeting and getting helped by many people whom I didn’t know their names, moreover, they made me interested in their country, culture, and people. Then I want to know more and go there, meet people to be friends. The more experience I have, the more I am interested in world affairs and the environment because I can imagine people living there more closely, as if they are my friend, though we are all global citizens and all on board ship of the earth.

I have taught Japanese and English for the students to use for good; understand, communicate, work together and be friends. As a learner, I was motivated to Learn English because I thought English was a global language that enabled me to communicate with people worldwide.
As a Japanese, I am pleased that many people are interested in Japanese culture and learning The language. From my personal learning experience and teaching experience, meeting and using the language is the best way to improve the language. Additionally, we can learn much more than in class.
We, Minnano Global Classroom, want to create opportunities to learn and meet virtually and improve our lives and the world. Tomodachi Summit will be a place the learners get together to grow a friendship as global leaders just leaders of G7 will gather in Hiroshima in May.
The organizers, Akari, Hiroaki, and Motoko, visited. Hiroshima and Miyajima to prepare for the Summit. Watch this video.
