Autumn Greeting! Let’s go out for viewing colored leaves of autumn.

It’s middle of October.  October is fall month in Japan. Here in Texas, t is much warmer so I do not feel it’s fall. However the clouds in the sky and ads and decoration of the shops remind me it’s autumn now. I am working at a floral and I found typical color and flowers of autumn are same as Japan.  The color of autumn  is orange and the flowers are chrysanthemum. As we go to cherry blossom viewing in spring, we go out for mountains and cooler places to enjoy viewing colorful leaves, which is called Momijigari 紅葉狩り, in autumn.

I am doing Ikebana, which is Japanese art of arranging flowers, in short Japanese style flower arrangement but it will give more spiritual and mental calmness, just like yoga or meditation. It is difficult to find similar floral materials to the ones in Japan. I am a challenger and I try anything for Ikebana.  Today I put stuffed animal  beside my Ikebana. Isn’t it cute?
