Like Girls’ Festival on March 3, they celebrate this day, displaying  Samurai armour or helmet  or doll  of  a hero  considered  healthy strong bo such as Momotaro, or Kintaro. Japanese iris called Shobu arealso displayed. Shobu leaves look like samuai swords. Also the pronunciation of Shobu means fihgting spirit. Soaking with shobu leaves is believed to stay away eveil sprits. Japanese looks  spersuticious sometimes but they like to do anything that others do and believed to good for their children.

I had a fun memoriy with my sisiter fighting with ,wearing a newspaper samurai helmet and newapaper sword. No danger. No injury. We enjoyed ourselves like boys on that day.

I still want to fight with newspaper around this day. I would like to share the joy with you.I used to fight with my sister and had a fun memories. This year too. I made onefor my neighbour’s son and my students. Always have fun! Why don’t you make one and play with?

Newspaper is soft and easy to wear. No injures.
