Memories of summer vacation in my childhood

I forget to post in the end of August…It’s out of season now.., so Please do not read! =) It’s fall. …

Were you excited to go back to school when you were young?

All over Japan students even 1st graders have  homework in summer.The older we become, the more homework they have.

I remember my last homework was always science project and often strugled even on the last day August 31st. In Japan summer vacation started around 20th July.  I tried  all homework finished in eraly August to enjoy all of the rest. However it’s hard.

The happiest moment was the day when closing ceremony of the semester ended, filled with  expectaions.  Sitting up till late, watching TV longer, eating crashed ice, play ing with friends, going to summer festival, shopping, seeing fire works, swimming in the beach and visiting grandparents.

Summer is time of festival. It is a lot of fun.   It originally and in Obon when our ancestors’ sprits are believed to come back home. Bon dance Fire works.

There were satnds and shops, dance and events, karaoke.  We bought toys , cotton candy, ice cream, masks of animation charachters, ice cream, cold drinks, snacks. picking up

yoyo and catching tiny gold fish with paper net, which was a lot of fun.

Fireworks were also symbol of summer. At home we enoyed little fireworks, and in the cbig park and port big fireworks wereIt’s very mice o see and hear the sound.  Always finare is the biggest a nd the most beautiful one.  It told me that everything had its end and reminded me of the day my enjoyable summer vacation would be over.
