Starting the 2024 in Paris which was my 5 th visit, 20 years since my last visit, and remembered the sense of awe to see the mountains of Alps. and Visiting Newtown with thousands of origami cranes for Sandy Hook Elementary since 2015 my last visit.
Then there were Ikebana, Tea Ceremony, and online exchange meetings and so on. “Bridging Two Cultures, Enrich Your Life.”(please receive my chapter from the book and you will know tips to overcome setbacks though my experience and what Ikebana and Tea Ceremony will enrich your life.)
Reflecting on My Year This year was full of incredible encounters with amazing people from near and far. Thank you for your support and cooperation. I am truly grateful. 🌸 Highlights of the year “Bridging Two Cultures: 温故知新 (Onko Chishin)” Offered Japanese language and culture lessons, Ikebana workshops, tea ceremonies, kimono experiences, and cultural events. “Everyone is a Diplomat: Building World Peace Starts with Making Friends” Organized online Japanese-English exchange events through “Minna no Global Classroom” with Akari Japan. Origami for Sandy Hook Elementary Delivered the final set of Senbazuru (1,000 paper cranes) to honor the victims and their families. Visited the memorial to offer prayers and share everyone’s wishes.
