Sharing in the joy of Japanese Culture; Ostukimi-Moon Viewing

September was the busiest month. O-tsukimi: Moon Viewing Festival, Kids Ikebana experience at school. Kimono try-on for the Crow Collection of Asian Art at UTD.

O-tsukimi is one of the big seasonal events. The main attraction is the beautiful moon!

The tradition is passed through not only through families but also schools. In kindergarten and elementary, they learn about Ostukimi through music, hands-on activities, and even school lunch menu; food. Dango for the moon viewing. Song of the moon.
