Dear ikebana friends,
ありがとうございました!Thank you for attending my ikebana workshop at Richardson Library. I am very happy that you have an interest in ikebana and came to the library. You were all positive and eager, asking many questions. It’s really a great pleasure for me to share the joy of ikebana with you.
The workshop is a very good opportunity for me to learn new things from participants. Everyone created different ikebana, though she/he used the same kind of flowers, branches and greens. Yesterday too how many times did I say “Wow!” to see your ikebana arrangements. Basics are very important, and creativity and originality are important as well in freestyle. I really love to see your ikebana.
It is said that ikebana reflects the mind of arranger or the person him/herself. All ikebana looked happy to me. The room was filled with beauty and excitement. I hope you also experience peace of mind and felt good about yourself to create new beauty.
Lastly, I again thank you. I thank Janet and all library staff, who gave me an opportunity and helped me with this workshop, my students, and my husband.
I wish we could have more time!
I am looking forward to sharing more fun! Please show your friends and family. Let’s add more happiness and beauty to Richardson, America and the world!
Sincerely yours,
Motoko Ishihara Evans
