Thank you all for your participation! A passport to Culture on April 25

Ikebana 20150425_153722Thank you for participating my Ikeban event at Newman Smith HIgh School.

Iam very happy to see you enjoyed making your own beautiful creation. I hope you enjoyed experience Japanese culture too. When you faced to the flowers, you couldn,t think of anything but Ikebana. You discovered many new things about flowers, branches and grees.

For example willow can be bend to make a beautiful curve. Leaves can be trimmed so that all the stems shows its line better.Just cutting leaves smaller will add a light impression.

If  you give much closer look at flowers with interest and afection, flowers, leaves and branches will tell you where they want to be placed. It’s true!!  The first thing and  the biggest thing to do is to give a close look and pay attention to the characters of the flowere such as the shape, the stage, the color, the texture,  the angle, the cureve and etc.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

I couldn’t say personally to you all. Arigatou gozaimashita!

Please remember to share your Ikeban on my facebook page too!
