Thank you for visiting Hiroshima and sharing Hiroshima’s desire for peace

I am living in the U.S for about 5 years and not in Japan now. However the news that Kerry visited Hiroshima. All Hibakusha, victims of HIroshima and Nagasaki and also all Japanese sharing the desire for peace, welcomed Kerry. Japan  will welcome Presidential visit to Hiroshima. We welcome and appreciate his visit. Japanese people understand the nuclear bombs saved thousands of people’s lives both Japan and America and people under imperial Japan. I just want President take a short time to see  Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the town and the museum. If he listened a story of Hibakusha, he would be touched by how much Hibakusha and people Hiroshima, Nagasaki desire nuclear disarmament, not apology. They wish no other nuclear weapons should be used  to finish a war.

Victims are all very old now after 70 years of bomb so while they are alive, please come and see what happened in Hiroshima and stand and see.

History looks different from one side to another side so we can understand history much better to see from both sides. When I went to Asian countries, like China,Korea,Hong Kong, Taiwan,  I studied history between us again. I was/am sometimes, usually, mostly disappointed to know but it’s much better than to know nothing. Some people say, that Japan victimized herself of atomic bombs, forgetting invading neighboring countries.

That’s not true but it is true that we,Japanese were not taught as much about modern history just as they were blinded during the war. I guess after World War 2, it’s not easy to discuss responsibility of Hirohito. Also because there were many politicians who drove Japan into war remained in position. However the desire to keep peace, not going into a war has been strongly keep and nurtured in people’s mind.  I myself visited some places in Korea, Independence park and War museum, the zone and the prison. I have to visit Nanjing too.
