The message I was moved was a woman who attended community college for 12 years and she is going to graduate this year. Amazing!!! She is a wife and mother and a student with a job. How she could keep learning, She introduced us a Chinese old saying.
“Constant dripping wears away stone.” Never quit. Never give up. Step by step, she accomplished her study. I was encouraged and motivated. I admire and respect her. How luck I was to attended the contest as audience.
February 21st Dallas Japanese Speech Contest was held. The participants were students studying Japanese sat high schools and colleges. My student made a speech at exhibition. Japanese is a heritage language for him. He talked about Japanese Gods, who are not perfect or almighty, more like human, getting angry or jealous. He made his best speech. I am so proud of him. He practices a lot with his Japanese teacher.
I am very glad that someone learns my language that is only used in a small island, Japan. There are any other countries in the world. I always wonder why do you study such a minor language. I have a strong motivation to learn English to travel all around the world and make friends with. I though English is the most useful language to make my dream come true.
I was so surprised their vocabulary and pronunciation. Everyone looked so confident, though they might be nervous.
Never give up. Never quite and we can get to a goal!
I am Japanese native and I was so impressed by all participants.Their messages from personal experience. I was also impressed their attitude and manners as well as language skills.
