The name of a new area is Reiwa; Beautiful Harmony

We celebrated the new area with tea ceremony, living in Dallas away from Japan.

Though there were not any events to celebrate May 1st here when the new area began. It’s a very historic event. My Ikebana students and I enjoyed the tea ceremony with a calligraphy Reiwa 令和 and ate a Japanese bento box.

One of them said to me.” It’a day when I felt proud that I am Japanese.” It’s because of the experience of the tea ceremony which has a long tradition of hundreds of years. Respect tradition. Experience and enjoyed the tradition on a special day.
