Visiting Japanese classes and learn more about Japanese culture from different perspactives

It was a Japanese day for me. Not only listen  but also I could taste  Japanese new year. Mochi was served!

I learned a lot about Japanese culture.I enjoyed myself learning what American young students like and have interest in , such as Anime and Vocalid. They are active and dynamic、moving , as describe Japanese kanji 動 (どう、dou). Traditional culture Ikebana and tea ceremony are something like 静(生、sei) quiet, spiritual and interest  in inner self. I also  became aware of influences of Shinto, Buddhism and Bushido in Japanese, which I had not thought of or care about.

By seeing Japan from outside, I had more profound understanding Japan and its culture and of course my life and my way of thinking. When I appreciate my culture, I can appreciate other cultures as much. I hope these students who made presentations will appreciate and respect their own culture as well.
