Happy 4th of July! おめでとうアメリカ!

Happy 4th of July!

What did you do today?

It’s my third time to celebrate Independence Day.  First time , in 2011,I  had no idea what I should do in America, because I couldn’t  find any hope in my life. I had moved in December 2010 and struggled with adjusting myself to new culture.

Last year I had celebrate with my American family. On our way home from brather’s home I  heard the sound of fireworks.  We  parked  at a shop’s paring lot.  Though fireworks were finishing toward end, we enjoyed finale!  It’s a nice day. For me it’s very American. I had felt like a guest or a tourist from Japan.

Last year I felt like a tiny and tiny new member of America.Today is Independence Day

This year I confirm I do live in America.  America is not the place where I visit and temporary stay but where I  live my life.  Finding a dream and taking action. Making friends and working with people here and supported by them.

Thank you all!  Thank you , America!

What a big change!  Change Your Thinking  and Change your life.  It’s -a CD by Brian Tracy which taught me how to live my life to the fullest. He said, “My  friend said America is like a Hollywood . You are taking a movie of your life. If  you don’t like, you can cut it and take it again.  Your movie is just being production.”    True!   Thank you, Brian!

Ikebana   いけばな

Ikebana is Japanese Flower Arrangement.   I live flowers and plants very much.

Flowers are always beautiful and it’s nice to see, smell, and touch them.

When I am arranging flowers, I don’t think anything but flowers.  I can forget time and

Sress.  My husband knows he can make me

I like smells of roses and oriental lilies.  I do believe aroma therapy.

Rose bouquet is beautiful.  A Big bouquet of Oriental lily is as beautiful.

Casa Blanca is very popular in Japan. Casa Blanca is   Single CasaBlanca is stylish.  When I want to buy a present to women under budget, I often go to flower shop and choose one of the most beautiful and expensive and make a single gouet.

Cut flower will not last forever but I think it is more beautiful because of its short life.  It may not be logial or rational but I believe its beauty is in its limited life like us.

Another reason I like lilies is they have long vase life so even when it’s expensive to buy one, it is strong and last long. Remember to buy bud stage, not fully bloomed.

The only thing I don’t like is pollen.
